Teacher-Centered vs. Learner-Centered

The active pretty much confirmed what I already knew- I take a learner-centered approach to my teaching. Since I have been teaching online, I have realized that some of my students know more about technology than I do. They have taught me several things along the way, and I appreciate everything.
I still see value in some objective testing. As an English teacher, it's a quick way to assess student's understanding of what they are reading in the course. I do not count it as much of their grade, but it does have some weight.

Amy: Glad to hear this activity reinforced your idea of learner-centered teaching. It's good to revisit our teaching philosophy from time to time. Paula ~ Eau Claire
